Morrison Water Services part of the M Group Services Water Division are the leading service provider in the water and wastewater infrastructure sectors in the UK. As a division, we employ circa 3000 people across the UK and we are looking for aspiring people like you, who are keen to build their career within the Water Industry.
Morrison Water Services is currently looking to recruit a Planning Manager to work on our Yorkshire Water Smart Metering programme. Building on our 25-year relationship with Yorkshire Water, this exciting programme involves the installation of 1.3 million meters and is critical to the region’s future supply needs.
As Planning Manager, you will be required to work collaboratively with our client Yorkshire Water. Leading a high performing planning and scheduling team to deliver the end-to-end journey for smart meter delivery. You will be responsible for ensuring all planning activities are completed compliantly and within contract SLA’s with a clear focus on KPI performance measures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensuring your team plan and schedule all work streams efficiently and achieving a ‘right first time’ approach.
* Providing exceptional customer service by embedding a customer focused mindset.
* Managing and reviewing Service Delivery performance including cost of failure.
* Ensuring delivery targets are managed and met.
* Sharing best practice through regular liaison meetings with colleagues and client.
* Ensuring all works are planned with a continued focus on supply interruptions and DG3 targets.
* Delivering Yorkshire Water’s KPI performance measures.
* Ensuring that all operational resource has an achievable and commercially viable workload planned every day.
* Assisting in the delivery of all planned work with close liaison with operational colleagues.
* Ensuring that NRSWA legislation and requirements are followed within your teams.
* Leadership of all colleagues across the planning and scheduling functions, supporting development, diversity and inclusion and championing employee engagement.
* To promote the highest levels of integrity within the business and to demonstrate professionalism and uphold the MWS code of conduct at all time.
Minimum Requirements:
* Demonstrable high level of leadership, coaching and mentoring skills.
* Extensive system and process knowledge.
* IT literate with extensive knowledge of SAP, ICE, Street Manager, Advantex and Power BI.
* Previous Senior Management experience in utility contracting or similar environment.
* Good understanding of commercial/strategic awareness.
* Ability to be decisive and work effectively under pressure.
* Strong customer focus.
* Excellent communication and influencing skills to inspire and motivate a team, while effectively managing client stakeholders.
* Confident in delegating tasks while maintaining full oversight of planning and scheduling functions within the team.
