Role Title: Co-Ordinator – Training (Construction Sector)

We are looking for a hardworking and committed individual to coordinate training and certification of courses delivered to delegates attending our courses and the booking of training for employees within the business, ensuring all training is aptly arranged from start to finish.
Role Overview:
This role is within the Select Plant Hire business. Our STA coordinator will arrange and plan work with internal and external customers by coordinating training, whilst delivering all works on time, accurately and efficiently to exceed expectations. The role involves planning, analysis, and hands-on operational coordination, to push for reliability and dependability to achieve the department's objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Liaise with both internal and external clients, and awarding bodies.
2. Submit accurate applications/bookings within the correct timeframes, ensuring that they are followed up regularly to ensure they are processed within STA timeframes and policies.
3. Plan and prioritise activities towards achieving agreed business aims.
4. Deal with incoming customer requests and queries in a professional and prompt manner using appropriate methods.
5. Plan works and develop relationships with clients, awarding bodies, and training teams.
6. Attend planning and coordination meetings as and when required.
7. Liaise with both internal and external clients, and awarding bodies to agree on suitable training solutions.
8. Advise clients (internal/external) on suitable training solutions.
9. Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed according to industry/company policies and standards.
10. Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods to optimise quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction.
11. Record, analyse, generate reports, and administer according to systems and requirements.
12. Process and record supplier orders and invoices in a professional and prompt manner.
13. Generate quotations in a timely fashion and ensure accuracy and consistency.
14. Assist with commercial queries.
15. Assist with the management of the STA.
16. Ensure all BACs and card payments are tracked and accounted for.
17. Willingness to work additional hours outside the contracted hours as and when required.
18. Willingness to stay away from home as and when required.
19. Ad hoc duties and team cover to assist the business to achieve its overall aims.
20. Manage personal time and productivity effectively.
21. Book and progress training bookings on awarding bodies' portals while recording orders/costs and tracking revenue.
Essential Skills:
1. Prior training coordination experience in a similar role.
2. Good communication skills.
3. Numerate, accurate, and IT skills.
4. Logical and well-organised with the ability to prioritise.
5. Confident and understanding with staff and customers.
6. Positive response to pressure.
7. Complete work within set timeframes and work to deadlines.
8. The ability to plan and organise workloads.
9. A keen eye for detail to ensure consistency and resolve queries.
10. Good organisational skills and operate with minimal supervision.
11. Good knowledge of IT including Microsoft Software (Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams etc).
12. A commercial understanding and hire/sales desk exposure.
13. A basic understanding of the training and industry requirements.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of the construction industry training needs and recognised awarding bodies.
* Exposure to the construction industry.
* An understanding of COINS and commercial exposure is desirable.
* Possess a good operational knowledge of the business.
* The ability to support and motivate team members.
Qualifications:
Essential:
1. Minimum of 3 GCSE's (A-C), or equivalent.
2. Full clean driving license.
Desirable:
Academic Degree or equivalent industry/training experience.
