Tullow has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Production Technologist. A member of Tullow’s Ghana Business Unit based in Chiswick, London, or Accra, Ghana, you will be setting the overall direction for Production Technology / Production Engineering for Ghana Subsurface. Position reporting to the Field Developments Manager.
This is a permanent role based in Chiswick, London with hybrid working arrangements or could be based in Accra, Ghana.
Responsibilities/Key Objectives
1. Technical authority for flow assurance and optimisation of the gathering networks from sand face to separator for the deepwater Jubilee and TEN developments
2. Perform root and branch review of the integrated production systems ; Review long term production chokes and identify potential solutions to optimise production and resource development
3. Identify and lead the maturation of interventions and work over opportunities
4. Lead review and maturation of artificial lift strategy, design and implementation
5. Provide Production Technology input and analysis to Ghana BU projects including subsea tie-back developments, facilities expansion and debottlenecking projects.
6. Provide input and analysis for well planning and execution including review of completions design
7. Support M&A evaluations on an ad hoc basis
Skills
8. 20+ years of oil and gas experience preferred
9. Experience of working with Prosper, GAP and other analytical methods
10. Knowledge and application of production technology/engineering in both oil and gas reservoirs
11. Expertise in flow assurance and production chemistry issues
12. Experience with subsea and deep water developments
13. Experience with intelligent well completions
14. Experience in leading a Production Technology function
15. Good current knowledge of available technologies and ability to network across the industry to access appropriate solutions
Education and Experience
16. Degree in Petroleum Engineering
17. Masters level or greater preferred
