We have an exciting opportunity for highly motivated, enthusiastic Healthcare Assistants to work with the DCHS wound clinic in Derby City.
The successful applicant will be willing to assist in all aspects of patient care supporting Wound Clinic Staff Nurses in managing patients, especially cleansing legs and removing dressings.
The role will require adherence to ANTT protocols and following IP&C guidelines in the clinical setting.
It is essential that you have a keen interest and previous caring experience. The successful candidate will ideally hold a health-related NVQ or equivalent.
The ability to manage stock ordering and stock rotation is necessary.
For this role, you must have ANTT training or be willing to undertake this training if successful.
If you can demonstrate good communication skills, have the ability to manage risk, and work effectively as part of a team, we want to hear from you.
You will be required to travel across different locations to fulfill the role, so access to a vehicle which can be used for work purposes or the ability to travel as required to meet the needs of the service is essential.
As a clinical worker, it will be your responsibility to ensure that your behavior and values reflect those set out in the DCHS Way.
For this role, you will be required to manage, prioritize, and organize your day supporting clinical treatment rooms and patients.
You will need to be a team player, with the ability to work autonomously when necessary and be able to use initiative to seek support from the team.
This role will require people with highly developed interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written), organizational and technical skills, with previous experience of using electronic care systems.
