Job Description: As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing gas, hydraulic, and process systems from first principles. You will play a key role in concept design, engineering calculations, and developing detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings. Additionally, you will liaise with customers, ensuring systems meet specifications and compliance requirements. Key Responsibilities: Actively contribute to the design team to ensure timely project delivery. Concept system design, including circuits, pumps, tooling, and fabrication. Conduct engineering calculations, including thermodynamics, material compatibility, and flow analysis. Develop P&ID drawings and bill of materials using AutoCAD. Produce detailed and general arrangement drawings using Autodesk Inventor. Specify and verify components based on operational requirements. Ensure compliance with ISO standards and CE marking directives. Lead design reviews and create technical files (e.g., PED, ATEX/IECEx). Liaise with the Quality department for documentation and compliance. Assist in commissioning systems both on and off-site. Produce risk assessments for pressure-containing equipment and machinery. Occasional travel as required for project support. Continuously update engineering plans and support process improvement. Skills & Experience: To be successful in this Mechanical Design Engineer role, you will need: Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor or similar). Strong understanding of mechanical design, thermodynamics, and material compatibility. Experience in engineering calculations (volumetric pressure, power consumption, flow analysis).
