Health and Wellbeing Substance Misuse Nurse
The role of Health and Wellbeing substance misuse nurse will oversee all elements of clinical care to patients registered to Telford Stars.
Main Duties of the Job
To provide high-quality, planned care to individuals experiencing substance misuse problems to improve their health and wellbeing and to support their recovery.
1. Delivery of community alcohol and drug detoxifications and act as the link with our partnership inpatient detox facility, ensuring positive working relations to provide appropriate care and aftercare.
2. Lead on the healthcare agenda ensuring service users new to treatment receive the necessary healthcare requirements and screening, such as BBVs, harm reduction advice, physical health observations, while liaising with appropriate partnership agencies in line with the Public Health Agenda.
3. Communicate with and support primary care to work collaboratively to address the health needs of Telford Stars service users.
4. Proficient in the use of information technology and able to work with minimal supervision.
5. Work within a multi-disciplinary team approach requiring flexibility, the ability to prioritize and adapt according to service needs, and act as a key leader in providing clinical supervision and training.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* A professional nursing qualification. NMP Qualification or agreement that will work towards achieving this.
Experience
* A minimum of two years' experience working with drug and alcohol users and three years as a Qualified Registered Nurse.
