Speech and Language Therapist
Veritas is currently working with one of our partner schools in Doncaster to help them find a Speech and Language Therapist, where you will assess, plan, and deliver therapy for students with communication barriers and language needs.
The Role:
1. Help assess the pupils in the class to identify their speech, language, and communication needs.
2. Develop and implement tailored plans in collaboration with the SEN staff.
3. Provide 1:1 and small group support to students to help improve their communication skills.
4. Monitor and report on pupils' progress, adjusting your plans and therapy to meet the students' needs.
5. Collaborate with the SENDCO and other teaching staff to ensure all pupils' needs are met seamlessly.
6. Engage with parents and carers to provide guidance and training techniques they can use at home.
Ideal Candidate:
1. Qualified in speech and language therapy.
2. Strong understanding of SEN and experience working with children in an educational environment.
3. Flexible and committed to a student's wellbeing.
4. Very strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Skilled in Makaton.

1. Clear Enhanced DBS.
2. Right to work in the UK.
3. Photo identification.
4. 2 satisfactory references.
5. Police check (if applicable).
6. Experience working with children with complex needs.
