Salary Point 34-38 £38,247 – 42,985 per annum, depending on experience (agreed on appointment)

We are seeking a passionate and driven individual to join our dynamic Faculty as Assistant Head of Faculty - SEND + Learner Engagement. You will play a crucial role in supporting the leadership of identified curriculum areas, ensuring high-quality education and outstanding student outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Leadership:
o Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative curriculum plans that meet the skills needs of the local economy.
o Lead and inspire a high-performing team, providing support and development opportunities.
o Build strong relationships with external partners, including employers and awarding bodies.
o Drive continuous improvement through robust quality assurance processes.
o Deputise for the Head of Faculty as required.
• Operational Excellence:
o Plan and manage staff timetables and resources effectively.
o Monitor student progress, address any challenges, and ensure timely achievement of targets.
o Lead and coordinate learner programmes, ensuring individual needs are met.
o Oversee student work experience placements.
• SEND & Learner Engagement:
o Champion inclusive practices and support students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
o Passionate about supporting young people to re-engage with education and achieve their full potential.
o Foster a positive and engaging learning environment for all students.
o Promote student satisfaction, progression, and successful destinations.
Essential Criteria:
• Proven track record of successful teaching and leadership in a further education environment.
• Substantial experience in curriculum development and delivery.
• Strong understanding of relevant vocational qualifications and industry standards.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Passionate about student success and committed to delivering high-quality education.
