Job summary
The Deputy Head of Volunteering post is an exciting opportunity to work within the Volunteering and Patient Experience team.
The post holder will be responsible for providing operational and project leadership to the Head of Volunteering. Leading on the project delivery and expansion of volunteer services across the NCA.
You will have experience of managing large teams as well as knowing how to support, motivate and encourage them.
Main duties of the job
The main duties include:
Leading and driving projects within the NCA Volunteer team.
Providing visible leadership and day-to-day management of the volunteer services team.
Support the Head of Volunteering to implement and deliver the new volunteer strategy.

Experience
Essential
1. Minimum 2 years working in health and/or social care setting
2. Significant IT experience including Word, Powerpoint and Outlook, Excel and Access
3. Report writing
4. Able to work on own initiative, organising and prioritising own and others workloads to changing and often tight deadlines
Desirable
5. Writing successful bid applications
Knowledge & Skills
Essential
6. Specialist knowledge in Volunteering, local and national volunteer policies & procedures
7. Extensive project management knowledge and experience to post graduate diploma level or equivalent
8. Evidence of continuing professional Development
