Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Procurement Operations Manager, based in Aberdeen.
Responsibilities
1. Provide experience and support to Business strategies to direct and deliver the desired level of growth and profitability.
2. Responsible for P&L of designated business unit and delivering a profit to the organisation. Investigate client spend, identifying peaks and troughs, and work with team to increase customer spend.
3. Ensure areas of responsibility delivers "Best in Class" performance standards of operation, efficiency and effective use of technology. Innovation is one of our core pillars and will be embraced.
4. Ensure the business unit is legislatively compliant and operating within corporate governance procedures and processes.
5. Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
6. Maintain effective relationships with Procurement and Supply Chain team ensuring best procurement strategy.
7. Lead Tender pricing and delivery.
8. Support negotiation and implementation of customer contracts.
9. Lead and support Procurement team in development of customer accounts.
10. Review client spend, identifying and investigating profit issues.
11. Margin management with an aim to increase savings for customers and profit for business.
12. Introduce cost saving measures and identify alternative items.
13. Procurement focused training and mentoring of Procurement team.
14. Review and challenge rogue spend to ensure buying team are sourcing and negotiating best price and delivery.
15. Ensure compliance with company and client management system.
16. Achieve material delivery and process deadlines.
17. Lead and attend client meetings.
18. Lead by example, acting as a role model for safe practice, innovation, inclusion & diversity. Actively promote such culture and act quickly to resolve those behaviours which are not desired.
Specific Requirements
1. Business Degree/CIPS qualified (or aiming for qualification).
2. Relevant experience in a similar role.
3. Strong sourcing skills, ability to identify the manufacturer and direct sourcing of products.
4. Ability to work within a busy environment, meeting demanding targets and working to tight deadlines.
5. Proficient with Microsoft Office Packages - advanced experience in Excel and data management.
