About the role: As the Music Technician, you undertake the responsibility of maintaining the spaces and resources in the Music Department and a range of technical duties in support of the academic function.

We are looking for a person who has technical experience in a music studio set-up and enjoys working alongside students and lecturers.
A s our Music Technician, your m ain tasks will include: Maintaining all the music spaces and technical resources Maintaining a rehearsal booking system Preparing and setting up equipment and resources for lessons and performances Supporting lecturers and students with computer based music technology systems such as Logic Pro X and Musescore Be able to lead live event setups (Sound, light and stage rigging) As our Music Technician, you'll ideally have: Level 3 qualification in Music Technology or related field or equivalent qualification or relevant experience Experience in the operation of a sound recording studio Experience working with both analogue and digital sound desks An ability to work with 16-19 year olds A commitment to music technology Benefits: 25 days leave, rising with service, plus Bank Holidays and Christmas closure (pro rata for part time staff) An option to purchase further leave through our Annual Leave Purchase Scheme Access to our Employee Assistance Programme provided externally to the College.
