The team leader will be responsible for the clinical and professional leadership and management of a corporate school nursing team. They are responsible for providing day to day operational line management duties and responsibilities that include staff rotas, managing attendance, performance and recording staff absence.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the effective and efficient use of skills and resources in the team.
2. Ensure the service is organised to meet the needs of the patients and complies with national standards.
3. Act as a role model for the team and line manage the School Nursing team to enable them to provide evidence-based care.
4. Maintain an awareness of the national direction of School Nursing by working within the Clinical Governance regulations and adhere to the NMC Code.
5. Lead and manage the national childhood measurement programme for Birmingham School Health Support Service.
Minimum Requirements:
* Specialist Community Public Health Nurse - School Nursing qualification
* Evidence of post registration development and training
* Experience of work within School Nursing Teams
