You will be working in a regulated environment for an organisation delivering services to customers. As part of a Strategic Procurement and Supply Chain team, the Procurement and Supply Chain Manager oversees a team of procurement specialists leading indirect category procurement activities, assuming responsibility for strategic sourcing and delivery of significant savings.
Job Description
* Engage and support stakeholders to enable best practice procurement and supply chain strategies that deliver best commercial value in the delivery contracts for goods and services.
* Leadership and development of a defined team of Supply Chain Professionals.
* Develop and implement efficient procurement and supply chain strategies.
* Manage and foster supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective procurement of goods and services.
* Drive the adoption of continuous improvement methodologies across the supply chain.
* Responsible for reviewing all relevant legislation, rules, processes, and procedures and recommend enhancements to deliver continuous improvement while ensuring compliance.
* Manage and develop a suite of KPIs and management reporting for the team/function.
The Successful Applicant
* Degree or qualified by experience.
* Ideally MCIPS qualification.
* Significant procurement, supply chain, and contract management experience.
* Experience in contract negotiation.
* Previous experience of leading a procurement/supply chain team.
* Experience of identifying areas for and implementing procurement best practice.
* Proven track record of delivering optimum results.
