Job Description
This is a project role. The project is for the construction of a first of its kind, large diameter, high-pressure, cross-country pipeline in the northwest of England.
Reporting to the Project Technical Director, the Engineering Manager will be responsible for the strategy, planning, execution and control of the detail design and procurement.
The role will require the appointee to provide leadership to all personnel on the project and, working closely with the wider project management team, manage the delivery of the design and procurement scope of work which shall involve coordination between key subcontractors and the client.
Experience Needed:
* Exceptional technical knowledge of the engineering requirements relative to cross country pipelines and, specifically, code requirements where relative to carbon dioxide transportation.
* Proven ownership & accountability, judgment and decision making.
* Multiple years of project management experience for cross country pipelines or a similar discipline.
* Previous experience working as an Engineering Manager or similar with a good understanding of all disciplines and their part in the overall project execution.
* Skilled in identifying, handling, and mitigating technical risk in construction projects.
* Willingness to work in different locations for short or medium periods and to travel nationally.
Qualifications
* Minimum 10 years industry experience
o Chartered Engineer or equivalent industry experience.
o Management experience of engineering disciplines.
o Experience of a similar role.
o Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
o Valid driving licence.

* This job is a full-time role, 8am-5pm Monday to Friday from our Warrington Office.
