Essential Functions:
1. Plan and aggressively pursue equipment and building projects, including overhauls, upgrades, re-designs, and installations. New and rebuilt equipment must be tracked using Reliability and Maintainability guidelines and techniques from conception to decommissioning.
2. Coordinate with the Plant Engineering department on schedules for labor, materials, downtime requirements, and estimates of downtime length for individual projects.
3. Work with Plant Engineering staff to lower the vendor base by:
1. Standardizing components to equipment types by make, model, and distributor.
2. Specifying standardized components to equipment vendors/rebuilders.
3. Specifying the best component available at the best price.
4. Compose and maintain equipment files, support documents, machine control media/programs, BOM's, drawings, manuals, and updates to the CMM database.
5. Perform various duties involving machine support and engineering design work.
6. Compose electronically or sketched instructions, BOM's, and wire schedules needed by Maintenance personnel for upgrades, installations, and engineering changes.
7. Pursue training, mentoring, and offer instruction to maintenance personnel.
8. Provide training, mentoring, and instruction to junior Automation Technicians.
9. Provide expert knowledge and be a leading point of contact for all projects involving Automation Technicians.
Qualifications
* Associate's Degree in a related field.
* 5 Years Automation Experience.
* Ability to lift up to 70 lbs. is required.
* Limited travel within the US is required.
* Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
* Relocation is not offered for this position.
