Job Responsibilities Management and Planning Act as the primary point of contact for ICB, NHSE, PCSE, community services, suppliers and other external stakeholders Contribute to the practice development by staying informed on current primary care affairs and identifying opportunities and threats. Ability to lead, motivate and develop staff. Lead for recruiting and appointing of clinical and administrative staff, ensuring job descriptions and adverts are advertised in a timely manner. Lead and effectively manage all complaints, zero tolerance and unacceptable behaviour in line with current legislation and guidance. Lead and effectively manage significant events Ensure compliance with IT security and Information Governance including DSPT toolkit, eDEC, KO41b General Practice Written Complaints data collection etc Engage with patients and maintain the effective running of the Practice Patient Participation Group. Support the Business Manager with facilitating Practice meetings and maintain up to date action plans. Liaise with the Primary Care Network (PCN) and locality commissioners, attend meetings and promote collaborative working. Ensure QOF targets are met Ensuring the organisation maintains compliance with its NHS contractual obligations Leading change and continuous improvement initiatives; co-ordinating all projects within the Practice Risk assessments Human Resources Developing, implementing and embedding an effective staff appraisal process Good knowledge and experience in HR, ensure compliance with employment law and holiday management Record, monitor and manage sickness absence/annual leave for staff. Responsible for staff recruitment, retention and skill development. Facilitate and evaluate staff training and maintain data of compliance Health and Safety Responsible for H&S risk assessments Ensure Practice is compliant to meet its legal duties and adhere to risk management and safety policies. Information Management and Technology Publishing communications for internal and external use Ensure compliance with information governance standards and annual staff IG training. Maintaining the Practice and NHS Choices websites. Managing and lead Practice IT implementation systems, delegating to administration staff as required.
