We are seeking an experienced, confident and collaborative Security Officer to join our team at Sequani. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, personnel, visitors, equipment and reputation. This position is ideally suited to candidates who have good interpersonal skills, experience of working as part of a team and can use their own initiative. Experience of dealing with the public and use of surveillance systems is preferable although training will be provided. You will be working a 12-hour alternating shift pattern, as working-hour flexibility is important to ensure we have 24-hour security cover. You will be involved in patrolling and securing the site and maintaining written records. A willingness to undertake first aid responsibility and possession of a full driving licence is essential. Role Overview The core function of the Security Officer role is the control and management of authorised movement in and out of site. The role is responsible for the protection of all property, staff, visitors, equipment and reputation at all times with minimal disruption to the business. Key Responsibilities Patrol designated areas of the premises and ensure the security and safety of employees, visitors, and the facility. Monitor surveillance systems and report any suspicious activities or incidents. Enforce access control policies and procedures to maintain the integrity of the premises Respond to alarms and emergencies in a timely manner and escalate as necessary. Conduct regular inspections to identify and address potential security risks. Liaise with the local Police to ensure the safety and security of all staff, vehicles and premises during demonstrations. To provide First Aid cover to all staff and visitors as required, training will be provided.
