Intro
We have an incredible opportunity for a Finance Manager – Systems & Data to join our Finance team on a fixed term basis for a period of 12 months (Darlington based).

The role
The purpose of this role is to manage the finance systems, ensuring system stability whilst driving continuous improvement. The role will require investigating and resolving system issues as they occur and also managing system configuration, user roles and permissions, ensuring data integrity, security whilst maintaining seamless operations.
Part of the role includes managing delivery of system and data changes. Starting with the capture of requirements, overseeing development of the changes and testing, through to implementation. These changes will be delivered in accordance with the Railpen change governance, and within the Finance's own improvement framework(s).
This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Applicants must have the legal right to work in the UK.
The person
As a systems and data manager, you will be a point of contact for complex system requests and queries within Finance. The successful candidate will have the ability to effectively review business processes and documentation, ensuring best practice for data management and governance is established. Having a Finance-based background with experience in financial systems management would be a distinct advantage, however this is not essential.
We are looking for someone with a positive can do attitude who has a passion for systems and data. You will be an effective communicator who is able to collaborate with a variety of stakeholders at all levels across the organisation, whilst being able to adapt your approach based on the stakeholders needs. Organisation skills and the ability to demonstrate effective time management to ensure delivery to agreed timescales is key. As a Finance Manager for Systems & Data, you will have excellent analytical and problem solving skills to allow you to identify and resolve potential system issues and identify ways to encourage continuous improvement.
