Red Door is our day centre for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness in Bury. Red Door provides holistic support including helping with housing, finance/benefits and health issues, with a big focus on wellbeing. We are looking to recruit a Project Worker to ensure the smooth running of the day centre and health hub project.
As a Project Worker, you will assist in all aspects of the running of the Day Centre including ensuring a safe and high-quality environment for people who visit, volunteers, and staff. You will deliver excellent customer service and welcome people warmly in a manner which acknowledges their dignity and self-worth. Additionally, part of your role will be promoting an environment where people can socialise and improve their wellbeing, by promoting the uptake of the on-site health, wellbeing, and housing services.
You will have a strengths-based approach and be motivated to enable people who are homeless to access services to ensure a good quality of life and maintain safe accommodation through partnership working with other agencies.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Experience of working with vulnerable, homeless people or disadvantaged groups in a similar setting is essential.
2. Good IT and admin skills.
3. A positive approach to team working.
The hours of the role are from 8am – 4pm, Monday to Friday.
