An exciting role has arisen for a Senior Engineer – Focussing on Energy & Facilities to join our clients Facilities and Engineering Team. The role is based in Telford, is offered as a full-time, permanent position with working hours of Monday – Thursday 08:15 – 17:00 and Friday 08:15 – 12:15.

The Job
You will be responsible for the management of Energy and Utility use across two manufacturing sites to enable the development and successful implementation of an industry-led Net Zero 2030 Carbon Strategy. You will manage building infrastructure, grounds, and utilities ensuring that all site buildings and grounds are compliant with all applicable UK legislation. Ensuring that all energy-related external/internal compliance and reporting requirements are met on time. You will also provide technical support to the Engineering Division for Building services project work related to New Production Facility introduction ensuring compliance is maintained.
The Role
1. Management of buildings, building services, CO2 reduction, and site maintenance resources. Submitting budgets to ensure that all buildings and equipment are effectively maintained to manufacturers and regulatory requirements. Recommending & managing budgets for new or improvements to existing buildings, building services, utilities, CO2 Reduction, grounds, and site infrastructure.
2. Coordinate CO2 Reduction activities, compliance reporting to internal and external stakeholders, and strategic management including the General Manager and wider group as required.
3. Management of building, energy reduction, and site services projects. Creating detailed specifications, preparing and maintaining schedules. Manage projects to schedule and budget targets and the supervision of sub-contractors. Ensure all works carried out to the specification and are compliant with statutory regulations.
4. Look after the BS maintenance contracts negotiating annual contracts with purchasing ensuring all work is carried out to specification and on time. Ensuring all work complies with statutory regulations.
5. Supporting the Engineering division as required. Acting as CDM planning supervisor. Provide, maintain and control building, building services, or grounds and infrastructure drawings.
The Person
You will have extensive proven ability in a similar role and substantial experience of energy management, electrical, mechanical, civil, and structural engineering. You must have previous experience of maintenance management and project engineering.
You must also have demonstrable understanding of compliance regimes relating to buildings, utilities, energy, and site.
You will hold a degree or equivalent in an engineering discipline and NVQ Level 4 or equivalent in management. Specialist expert knowledge and qualifications in energy and facilities management is required.
This interesting role offers a competitive salary between £47,000 - £54,220 and also a benefits package. Such a truly brilliant opportunity to work with a global company as part of a friendly team.
