We havean exciting opportunity for an Automation Engineer to join our teamspecialising in engineering and creating new solutions for specialpurpose machinery, factory automation, robotic systems, processautomation and bespoke automated projects across numerous industrysectors.
Automation Engineer KeyResponsibilities:
* Createand manage electrical and mechanical system design for ourautomation projects, from concept through to manufacturing,including functional hardware, prototyping and proof ofconcept.
* Work with engineering teams and reviewmechanical designs to ensure that they meet specification andrequirements.
* Provide technical support tocolleagues and team members throughout entire solution process andproduct development cycle.
* ist the MechanicalEngineering Manager in fulfilling their duties and, when required,serve as the department's acting manager in theirabsence.
* Evaluate mechanical,electro-mechanical and control system design approaches that willmeet the functional performance requirements of the automatedsolution.
* Develop mechanical sub-system andcomponent requirements that will be used to inform and drive thedetailed electro-mechanical design and componentselection.
* Selection, design and implementationof stepper motors based on system functional performancerequirements.
* Design, position, tuning andtroubleing of servo controlsystems.
AutomationEngineer Key Ss and Experience
* Electro-Mechanicalexperience of Servo System design.
* Knowledgeand experience of robotic systems and their application withinindustrial automation, pneumatic systems, servo and motor systems,specification and selection of components and parts used to buildbespoke automated solutions.
* Prior experienceof working in a similar position with strong electrical andmechanical knowledge building special purpose machinery, working onbespoke automated projects.
* Electrical /Mechanical / Electro-Mechanical / Mechatronics Degree or similarlyhigh-level degree encomping experience of electrical and mechanicalengineering principals.
* Ability to conceive anddevelop innovative, practical, and robust electro-mechanicaldesigns that are based on sound engineeringprinciples.
* Ability to yse a system'smechanical behaviour, trouble and diagnose performance problems andpropose robust and practicalsolutions.
* Excellent interpersonal abilitiesand proven abilities to work collaboratively in a cross-functionalproject environment
* Proficiency in the creationof 3D CAD models and emblies.
* Exceptionalwritten and oral communication ss (working language isEnglish)
