We believe that our employees are the heart of the organisation and having the right people in the right place, with the right skills is the key to our success. We are looking for committed individuals who are passionate about working in an aspirational and high performing college and dedicated to contributing to an outstanding experience for our learners.
Supported by the Head of Academic Studies and relevant Assistant Principal, the main purpose of the job is to grow, lead and develop your subject. We require a Subject Lead Teacher to design, develop and produce learning and teaching material and deliver these across aligned GCSE and A Level subjects. Our A Level offer is designated as high performing, we expect our young people to be successful and go on to the very best offer. Our GCSE programme is predominantly designed for students new to the country, or those who just missed out on getting five good GCSEs at secondary school. In time, you may pick up additional responsibilities, such as line management, which will be reflected in your salary and remission.
You will have a degree in a relevant subject, ideally with a Level 7 teaching qualification and be experienced teaching up to A level for at least two years in your desired subject. The ability to teach a second Humanities or Social Sciences subject (e.g. Sociology, History, Business) would be desirable.
What's in it for you?
We offer the opportunity to help develop your skills and knowledge in a friendly team environment, plus a range of benefits including a career average pension scheme, employee assistance programme, enhanced sick pay, NUS Employee discount, free onsite parking, cycle to work scheme and Sodexo benefits scheme.
