The Team

* Influencing senior industry figures to change how they operate if they are not meeting the rules and requirements and in the most severe cases taking regulatory action to stop firms operating their businesses.
* Collaborating effectively and proactively with colleagues across the FCA, other regulators and law enforcement agencies both in the UK and internationally.
What you will get from the role
* Work at the front line in the protection of UK customers.
* Develop skills and capabilities within a regulated environment, able to assess and quantify risk and develop appropriate strategies to stop the risk happening.
* Learn and develop a deep understanding of relevant legislation and how it applies to regulated firms.
* Play a key role in shaping and influencing strategy and policy-making in this sector as the role of Payments and E-money firms becomes increasingly significant to the financial system.
* As an employer, the FCA places value on your learning, and we offer world-class development opportunities which will assist you in achieving your career aspirations. We can support professional qualifications in data science or financial analysis for a motivated person, depending on your profile.
Our competitive flexible benefits scheme gives you the opportunity to create a personalised benefits package, tailored to suit your lifecycle. You can use this allowance to purchase additional benefits such as dental or cycle to work or you have the option to top up your base salary by taking this as cash.
Core benefits that you will receive as standard are:
* 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays.

We support hybrid working which means you will be able to work from home up to 60% of the time over a month with the remainder of your time in one of our three office locations.
The skills and experience you will have
Minimum
* Prior experience in a legal, compliance, regulatory or enforcement function at a regulated financial service provider, regulatory consultancy, government agency, enforcement agency or a regulator.

* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability and confidence to build and maintain relationships with a range of stakeholders internally and externally.
