Responsibilities: Northern State University invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track faculty position in Sport Administration in the Department of Sports Sciences. Responsibilities include teaching face-to-face and online undergraduate and graduate courses in a learner-centered environment, undergraduate/graduate research, mentoring graduate students, scholarly activity, and service to the university and community.
Qualifications: Applicants with an earned doctorate in Sport Management/Administration or a related field are preferred. ABDs who will complete their degree before the date of appointment will be considered. The candidate should be able to teach a wide variety of courses, including but not limited to Financial Aspects of Sport, Sport Law & Ethics, Esport Management, Contemporary Issues in Sport, International Sport Management, and Sport Analytics. Qualified candidates should demonstrate experience employing successful pedagogical strategies in the collegiate classroom setting. Preference will be given to individuals with experience working in the sports industry and an ability to foster relationships with sports organizations.
