We are seeking a Principal Project Manager – Highways to join a Sustainable Infrastructure team in Cork, Dublin, or Carlow. This position is ideal for professionals with a minimum of 12 years' experience in highway and infrastructure design and project management. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, deliver diverse infrastructure projects, and play a key role in client and stakeholder engagement. Requirements:
* Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field; Chartered Engineer status required.
* At least 12 years of post-graduate experience in highway and infrastructure design and project management.
* Proven track record in delivering highway or greenway projects per TII Project Management Guidelines Phases 0–4.
* Experience managing multidisciplinary design teams, budgets, and client relationships.
* Familiarity with design and build project delivery.
* Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
* Ability to work independently, flexibly, and as part of a team.
* Full driver's license and willingness to travel for site visits and client meetings.
Responsibilities:
* Lead multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
* Mentor and supervise senior and junior staff within the Infrastructure sector.
* Prepare technical reports, tender documents, and ensure compliance with quality assurance systems.
* Manage client relationships and project communications.
* Plan and oversee design work in collaboration with Engineering Discipline Leads.
* Ensure adherence to health and safety legislation and company management systems.
* Coordinate work within the Infrastructure team and with external stakeholders.
