Be-IT is partnering with a Scotland-based organisation to recruit a UX Researcher for a full-time, permanent position. This role is based in Glasgow and will require office-based work during the probation period, transitioning to a hybrid model thereafter—three days per week on-site.
About the Role:
As a UX Researcher, you will conduct qualitative and quantitative research to generate actionable insights, driving the design and development of our client's products. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams—including designers, product managers, and developers—ensuring user feedback remains central to the product development process. Your work will directly influence the user experience and overall product strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
* User research: Plan and conduct various research methods, including usability testing, interviews, surveys, ethnographic studies, and A/B testing, to better understand user behavior, needs, and preferences.
* Data analysis and insights: Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to extract meaningful insights and effectively communicate findings to stakeholders.
* Cross-team collaboration: Work closely with designers, product managers, and developers to inform design decisions, identify pain points, and enhance user experience.
* Personas and user journeys: Develop user personas, scenarios, and customer journey maps to guide design and development.
* UX feedback for Agile teams: Provide research-driven UX feedback to Agile delivery teams, supporting sprint cycles.
* Product design support: Offer valuable input during the ideation and concept phases of new products and features, as well as throughout iterative design processes.
* Reporting and presentations: Clearly communicate research findings and recommendations through reports and presentations tailored for technical and non-technical audiences.
* User advocacy: Champion user-centred design, ensuring that user needs remain a priority in decision-making processes and fostering a UX-focused culture within the organisation.
* Other duties as required.
The successful candidate will have:
* Experience in user-centered design, with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Information Science, Human Factors, or Computer Science.
* Experience with consumer products, consumer insights, or product development.
* Proven experience in UX research, with a strong portfolio showcasing user-centred research practices.
* Ability to translate research findings into strategic narratives.
* Solid knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methods, such as user interviews, usability testing, surveys, and A/B testing.
* Strong ability to analyse and synthesise data, identifying trends and insights.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of delivering research findings to diverse stakeholders.
* Familiarity with UX design principles and collaboration tools.
* Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
* A detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to think both creatively and systematically.
* A collaborative, team-player approach to problem-solving.
* Ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a user-centred focus.
* A passion for understanding users and improving their experiences.

* Salary: Up to £40K DOE.
