Job summary To manage and supervise the accreditation and quality processes in the Imaging services (currently Radiology and Nuclear Medicine), carrying out the required management and leadership tasks to support the accreditation processes across all sites within UHCW NHS Trust. To maintain the service and liaise with the Quality Standard for Imaging (QSI) Improvement Partner with regards to required annual submissions, upload and organisation of evidence towards achievement of the QSI award To manage staff working within the Governance Team including ESR, appraisal, rotas, recruitment and selection. Deputise for Governance Superintendent Radiographer in their duties as Chair for Governance related meetings and attendance at other Governance relevant meetings. To provide a professional and supportive leadership role to staff in accordance with professional and departmental protocols. To carry out the full range of imaging /duties within specialised area, to a consistently high standard. Main duties of the job To take responsibility for the service's QSI implementation and accreditation programme, as delegated by the Superintendent Radiographer. To update the Superintendent Radiographer and the Radiology and Clinical Diagnostics Group Senior Management Team regularly, and in the absence of the Superintendent Radiographer also update the Imaging and Group Boards, concerning progress with the accreditation programme. To understand the requirements and timescales of the Quality Standard for Imaging (QSI). Ensure effective communication and dissemination to staff of the accreditation process. To coordinate the service's responses to QSI, ensuring that all evidence uploaded to the QSI web-based assessment is relevant, up-to-date, and fully meets the QSI criteria. To be a very visible member of the leadership team, supervising the ongoing implementation of processes reported to QSI, by checking records, compliance with policy, and observing standards of interactions with patients, service users, and other staff.
