East Sussex County Council is seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to join its Learning Disability Services team. This role is ideal for individuals who are self-motivated, well-organized, and passionate about advocating for the rights of people with learning disabilities.

About the Role
Could you support someone who needs help to live their best life? We are recruiting Support Workers who can encourage and enable adults with a learning disability by providing practical and compassionate support in all areas of daily living. Experience in care is not necessary; you just need to have the right values and a passion for supporting people to achieve greater independence.
Our supported living service in Crowborough has four separate living areas where dedicated teams provide support to between three and four people. Your role may include supporting people out in the community, working alongside people to maintain and learn new skills, supporting with activities, and providing personal care. A full training program is available to support you in your role – including medication, health and safety, safeguarding, and manual handling training. The opportunity to undertake the Care Certificate is also available.

* Are self-motivated
* Are physically able to carry out all tasks as required
* Are committed to providing excellent support
* Are willing to undertake training required to complete the job role

Additional Information
Your starting salary will be pro rata if the above position is part-time or term-time only.
