Are you ready to take the next step in your veterinary career with a practice that truly values flexibility, independence, and professional growth? Our client, a well-established and independent small animal practice, has been delivering expert care to pets in Norfolk for over 45 years. Nestled in a charming market town, the location offers a perfect blend of tranquillity and convenience, with access to nature, excellent schools, and a thriving local economy. For professionals seeking a balance between work and lifestyle, this town provides a wonderful living experience with a quick commute to Norwich.
The practice is looking for a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join their friendly, close-knit team. Whether you're seeking a full-time position, part-time hours, or a flexible working arrangement, this role can be tailored to suit your individual needs. Have personal commitments like walking your dogs or checking on your horse? No problem - the rota can work around you. Need to take a breather at home between consultations? That's completely supported here.
You'll be joining a team led by a practice owner with over 30 years of experience, supported by four RVNs (two of whom have been with the practice for over 15 years), an SVN, two auxiliaries, and two excellent receptionists. You'll even have your own theatre nurse to assist during surgical days, ensuring the team is always prepped and ready for your procedures.
The practice is equipped with excellent facilities, including a digital x-ray, a Storz endoscope, rhinoscopes, bronchoscopes, and a Sonoscape ultrasound with four probes and colour Doppler. Dental x-ray is also on the horizon. The owner has a special interest in cardiology, offering additional opportunities for skill development.
The full-time rota involves a 40-hour week, which can be spread across four or five days. There's no OOH work, and Saturday mornings are on a light 1:4 rota, finishing by 12:30 pm. Part-time and flexible working arrangements are happily accommodated, and there's even the possibility of partnership for the right candidate. For those relocating, a nearby annex is available for up to six months, and visa sponsorship is offered for international applicants.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join an RCVS-accredited practice that remains proudly independent, in a supportive environment where you can grow and thrive. Beyond work, the team loves to socialise, with fun events like Christmas parties, gatherings, and even an Easter egg hunt adding to the friendly culture.
Don't miss out on this unique opportunity to advance your career in a beautiful part of the world. Apply now and become part of this exceptional team!
