Head of Marketing - B2B Financial Publishing - London
*You must have at least 6 years' commercial experience in creating and delivering Marketing campaigns for Global B2B subscriptions / publishing products, events and team management experience in order to be considered for this role*
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing B2B financial publishing business as a Head of Marketing.
The successful candidate will take a lead role in developing the marketing strategy and delivering it across a portfolio of subscription & intelligence products, events (conferences and awards) and client marketing solutions.
Leading a marketing team of four, you will have strong experience in B2B publishing or intelligence / data subscription products with a track record of revenue growth.
Requirements:
* At least 6 years' B2B marketing experience (publishing & subscriptions)
* Experience with Salesforce, Pardot, Marketo, or similar preferred
* Strong team management experience
* Experience working with sales / business development functions
* Significant experience in analysing data and the ability to convert data into meaningful insight
* Significant experience working in Analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics)
* Significant experience in owned, earned and paid marketing channels
* IT Literate; MS office, advanced Excel
Main responsibilities:
* Define audience segments to ensure that product positioning and value propositions resonate effectively.
* Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify new opportunities, refine the go-to-market strategy, and enhance market penetration and engagement.
* Oversee the management and activation of subscription programs to stimulate and capture demand.
* Work with senior team members to establish criteria for what qualifies as a marketing-sourced lead for subscriptions, ensuring systems are in place to deliver a pre-agreed number of MQLs monthly and quarterly.
* Optimise the subscription lead funnel to generate high-quality MQLs, improving conversion rates and reducing customer acquisition costs, while collaborating with the subscriptions team on marketing’s role in closed-won business.
* Develop comprehensive customer journeys to nurture target audiences.
* Position the brand as a category leader by identifying opportunities to enhance credibility, engagement, and awareness, fostering stronger conversations that attract high-intent leads.
* Explore and develop new marketing channels to create fresh business opportunities.
* Increase submissions for awards, contributing to commercial revenue while collaborating closely with the awards editor.
* Leverage awards to boost subscription revenue, working in tandem with the AMS sales team.
* Support the generation of client marketing revenue, engaging confidently with commercial clients and utilizing various digital channels, including email, paid media, and social media.
* Drive attendance for Live events.
* Manage marketing budgets to ensure optimal allocation and efficiency.
* Present results and insights regularly to commercial stakeholders.
* Foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and knowledge sharing.
* Lead a team of four marketers, providing support for career development, goal-setting, and quarterly performance evaluations.
