Who Are We?
The Transition & Resettlement team works in partnership with Brighton & Hove City Council’s Homeless services and other key agencies across the city as part of the local strategy to reduce homelessness.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for motivated individuals with the aptitude and attitude to support people with experience of homelessness and complex needs to move into and manage their own homes, successfully sustain their tenancies, and prevent homelessness, and to make positive and lasting changes in their lives.
You will manage your own caseload across Brighton & Hove and the surrounding area, and support will be delivered either in the community or in people’s own homes. You will be working as part of a team with an office base in central Brighton & Hove.
The successful candidates will have a dynamic approach to working with people who have experience of trauma, homelessness, and mental health support needs. Flexibility, resourcefulness, and resilience are key to the role.
What do we offer?
This is a varied role that gives you the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience of housing and support services, and best practice ways of working. We welcome applications from people from all backgrounds, both with direct experience or with transferable skills and the passion and ability to learn. We encourage all candidates to give examples in your supporting statement of how you fit the role profile.
We offer a supportive working environment, commitment to work-life balance, a friendly team, and generous staff benefits.
Travel expenses will be paid, either for car users or travel by public transport. Car allowance (if applicable) is £1,000 per year. Driver not required.
Full induction, training, supervision, and support is provided for all staff.
