The EMEA Cash Management team is part of American Express Global Treasury Operations, and is responsible for the day-to-day cash management and funding across all EMEA markets. The role collaborates with various business partners within American Express, as well as engagement with external stakeholders such as counterparty banks. Responsibilities include: • Oversee and perform regional daily cash management activities supported by 7 colleagues • Ensure sufficient liquidity throughout the EMEA region utilising global funding sources • Create and leverage analytics to optimise cash efficiency • Maintain and develop relationships with banking partners and Amex business groups • Support control and compliance in line with Amex policies and procedures • Use and maintain Treasury Management System and bank portals • Drive change through continuous process improvements and re-engineering • Support projects involving both internal and external stakeholders Preferred Experience: • Experience within a Finance or Corporate Treasury environment and/or studying towards a professional Treasury/Accounting qualification • Skilled at working across all Microsoft Office suites • Strong team-player with excellent interpersonal, leadership and influencing skills • Self-starter with the ability to work under pressure to multiple deadlines • Robust analytical approach, with high attention to detail and accuracy • Excellent communication and presentation skills • Proven ability to think strategically whilst motivating colleagues to ensure delivery The American Express enterprise working model follows a hybrid approach, with a minimum of 3 in-office days per week and 2 available to work virtually.
