Progress Teachers are working in collaboration with a Secondary School in the Melton Mowbray area to appoint a knowledgeable and dedicated Humanties Teacher (Geography Specialist). The successful candidate will form part of a strong department, working diligently to have a positive impact on pupils' academic and personal progress from their very first day.

Responsibilities:
* Design and deliver engaging and comprehensive Humanities lessons to students across KS3 & KS4.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes active learning and critical thinking.
* Develop and implement creative and innovative teaching strategies to make the subject matter relevant and interesting for students.
* Assess and evaluate student performance, providing timely constructive feedback to support their academic progress.
* Participate in school events, parent evenings, and professional development activities as required.
Qualifications & requirements:
* Teaching Qualifications: A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE with QTS, or equivalent) with a focus on Geography is advantageous, but experienced non-qualified teachers will also be considered for the role.
* Subject Knowledge: A degree (or equivalent) in Geography or a related field, with a strong understanding of key concepts and a passion for the subject.
* Teaching Experience: Proven experience as a Secondary Geography teacher with a successful track record of student achievement is highly advantageous. However, strong ECTs will also be considered for the role.
* Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, colleagues, and parents.
* Commitment to Inclusion: A commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse learning environment that caters to the needs of all students.
* The ability to teach another branch of humanities (History, Religious Education etc.) is a requirement of this role.
* A DBS on the Update Service or Willingness to obtain.
