The Role
To ensure the quality and safety of all our products, working closely with Operations across the site to maintain standards and drive improvement, using positive behaviours, taking accountability to ensure that only the best products reach our customers and therefore ensuring the repeat business of the companies that we rely on, while protecting the customers' Health & Safety at all times.
Pay: £14.45 per hour.
Duties Include:
1. Conduct scheduled/planned various internal audits including good manufacturing practices (GMP), good hygiene practices (GHP), HACCP Critical Control Points (CCP) and Control Points (CP), glass register, etc.
2. Responsible for auditing documentation in relation to the production process to ensure it is completed accurately and ensuring any issues identified are raised with the relevant departmental heads.
3. Carry out verification checks to a set frequency for the in-line checkweighers, scales, and temperature probes to ensure they are operating correctly.
4. Monitor and verify that standards laid down in the product specification for intermediate and finished products are achieved.
5. Liaise with the Lead QA concerning day-to-day factory issues and attend the daily departmental performance review meeting to update on key metrics as well as agree on improvement measures. Raise non-conformances and ensure corrective actions are monitored and implemented.
6. Investigate consumer and customer complaints, communicating findings to Technical Management and to the appropriate factory personnel.
7. Conduct traceability exercises to the required schedule.
8. Carry out environmental manual temperature checks to the required schedule.
9. Collect retained samples and maintain the QA sample shelves in an orderly manner.
10. Prepare, conduct, and supervise daily taste panels ensuring all the relevant.
Skills & Experience Required:
1. Experience of conducting internal audits within a food factory.
2. Experience of working within an FMCG Company in a QA capacity.
3. Knowledge of technical procedures and practices relating to internal auditing.
4. Knowledge of microbiology and hygiene.
5. Knowledge of pest control.
6. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook.
7. Qualification in auditing.
8. Attention to detail.
9. Good interpersonal skills.
