Main duties and responsibilities Processing of cheque receipts/prepare daily banking and allocating payments to the Sales Ledger. Processing of BACS payments from bank statements/recording BACS remittance details and allocating payments to the Sales Ledger. Finding and entering sales invoice numbers onto remittances where the customer has omitted these. Answering telephone calls and helping customers with account queries. Any other duties, which may be required from time to time. This job description sets out some of the main duties and responsibilities of the job at the time when it was drawn up. About You To apply for this post, you must: Have a GCSE in Maths and English, grade C or above Have experience of working in a busy office/accounts environment Understand and be able to use MS Word, Excel and Outlook to initiate enquires and correspond with customers/suppliers and other departments Have experience banking and recording BACS details Be numerate, computer literate and can work as part of a team Have good communication/interpersonal skills Be trained in customer care and telephone techniques Have a proactive approach and the ability to work towards deadlines Have a well organised and logical approach Have a clean, tidy and smart appearance Must be able to perform all the duties and tasks of the job with reasonable adjustments, where appropriate, in accordance with the provisions of the Equality Act 2010 Have evidence of a good attendance record We’d also expect you to share our commitment to our values and will ask you to evidence when you have demonstrated them as part of the interview process.
