* Keen to learn and undertake personal development to progress towards Grade 10, with achievement assessed via further interview.
* Effective interpersonal, report writing, and communication skills, with the ability to develop effective client links.
Requirements for Grade 10 include:
* Construction experience and the ability to handle a range of tasks within a broad construction remit.
* Ability to work under pressure.
* Motivational skills and the ability to deliver innovative service solutions.
* Capacity to handle complex legal matters and possess contract drafting skills.
* Understanding of EU procurement rules affecting local authority projects, construction contracts, and framework agreements.
* Experience in such projects in either the public or private sector, contributing to successful project delivery.
* Working knowledge of SBCC and NEC contract suites, as well as related documents like building and engineering contracts, development agreements, bonds, PCGs, and collateral warranties.
* Ability to advise officers on contract selection and procurement options such as D&B, traditional, or two-stage tendering.
At Renfrewshire Council, we support your continuous personal development and career aspirations through training and development opportunities. Benefits include flexible working options, retail and leisure discounts, a Cycle to Work scheme, and enrolment in the Strathclyde Pension Fund, one of the UK's largest local government pension schemes.
