We are seeking personable, enthusiastic, and proactive Quantity Surveyors to join our client's Infrastructure Construction team, contributing to the continued growth of our business and supporting the delivery of critical UK Infrastructure projects.
You will work across a variety of client projects, delivering best-in-class cost management and contributing to successful outcomes in line with project and organisational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
* Client and Stakeholder Engagement:
o Build and maintain professional, collaborative relationships with clients, colleagues and external stakeholders involved in projects.
o Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering expert guidance and ensuring alignment with project objectives.
* Contract Administration:
o Manage and administer a variety of contracts, ensuring adherence to project objectives, governance frameworks, and best practices.
o Implement contract change management processes effectively to keep projects on track.
* Cost Management:
o Monitor, forecast, and report project costs accurately to completion, ensuring alignment with approved budgets.
o Proactively identify and manage cost variances and maintain contract cash flow integrity.
o Prepare and submit applications and valuations in a timely manner.
Key Skills and Attributes:
* Demonstrated expertise in contract management, ideally with experience in NEC3 (Option C preferred).
* Proficient in cost management, valuation, change management, and cash flow forecasting.
* Understanding of risk management, procurement processes, and estimating techniques.
* Skilled in reporting, pricing, and delivering value engineering initiatives.
* Collaborative mindset with a focus on achieving best-for-project outcomes.
* Experience in managing commissions, people, and driving efficiency throughout the project lifecycle.
* Comprehensive knowledge of the construction industry, including procurement routes and technical considerations.
Qualifications:
* Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (e.g., Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering).
* Membership of or working towards membership with a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS, CIOB, ACostE).
* Previous experience within infrastructure, utilities, or construction sectors will be highly advantageous.
