Salary / hours: £30k a year (45 hours a week 5/7 days with any overtime paid at an hourly rate)
Nestled within 35 acres of idyllic parkland straddling the Hampshire/Berkshire border, our client's hotel offers a tranquil retreat for guests. The hotel takes pride in its season fresh food and passionate chefs. They are looking for a chef with a passion for flavour and ability to cook from scratch and pair flavours together to create amazing dishes. The kitchen caters for buffet breakfast and lunch as well as plated dinner service, weddings, banquets and afternoon teas so you will always be cooking new exciting dishes.
What you bring:
* Previous fresh food experience
* Previous Hotel experience (essential)
* Passion for fresh food and flavour combinations
* Knowledge for health and safety, food safety, allergens and proper kitchen practice.
* Ability to create new dishes from scratch and understand how flavours interact
* A keen eye for detail and high-quality food
* Portion control to help keep wastage and costs low
* Ability to work in a small team to ensure exceptional service.
* Level 2 food an hygiene
