Job description
Prospero Teaching is seeking individuals to work as cover supervisors across various schools in Sheffield, on a full-time or part-time basis.
This is a front-of-class approach! Strong behaviour management + SEN experience are desired for this role, however, no teaching requirements are specifically required!
Prospero Teaching works with both inexperienced cover supervisors and experienced cover supervisors!
You will be covering diverse year groups from KS3-KS4 and across various subject areas! A great position for someone with casual availability, or someone who has future desires to become a teacher!
Role specifics:
1. Supervising the classroom in the absence of the teacher and managing student behaviour
2. Ensuring all students are engaged with the lesson material
3. Taking individualised approaches with students to ensure trust
4. Collaborating and supporting other staff members
5. Assigning and collecting assignments
6. Maintain organisation for when the class teacher returns
7. completing the register

16. Hours – 8:30 am – 4 pm (full day), half day (am or pm), individual lesson cover
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
17. University degree or A Levels or Gcse (math and English above C)
18. Previous experience working in a UK school desired
19. previous experience working with SEN desires
20. Date Safeguarding training and Prevent training issued in the last year
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
21. Hold Right to Work in the UK
22. Hold an enhanced child-barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
23. Provide two professional child-related references that cover the last two year
