Reporting into: Founder of Chief Disruptor Defence / Operations Director
Location: 1-5 Stud Offices, Redenham Park, Andover, Hants SP11 9AQ (with occasional travel for events)
Working routine: Either full time (37.5hrs/week), or reduced hours (down to 27.5hrs/week)

About Chief Disruptor:
Chief Disruptor is the membership community for disruptive business and tech leaders, with a shared purpose to transform disruption into opportunity. Founded in 2005, we bring together innovators, change-makers and disruptive thinkers to share expertise, strategies and actionable insights.
We also have a vibrant and rapidly growing Defence sub-community, Chief Disruptor Defence. We work closely with our Ministry of Defence members, supporting Defence’s adoption of disruptive technologies by facilitating their engagement with our defence industry members through creating and sharing content, and delivering in-person and online activities.
The Role:
We are looking for a bright, highly organised, self-starting Operations Coordinator with some knowledge of Defence. The role will be two-fold: supporting the Founder with developing our Defence sub-community, and providing operational support across the business.
Key responsibilities:
Communication
* Responding to / actioning emails / calls / website enquiries
* Conducting onboarding calls with new members
* Communicating by phone and email) with Defence members, keeping them updated on forthcoming activities of interest
Campaign support
* Venue sourcing and venue liaison for in-person activities
* Supplier liaison for in-person activities
* Coordination of operational aspects of in-person activities
* Point of contact for members regarding Defence activities
* Updates / amendments to event web-pages
Financial
* Invoicing
* Book-keeping
* Payroll
Other
* Diary management / admin support to the Founder
* Willingness to turn your hand to other tasks and duties when required
Experience / skills:
Essential:
* Some knowledge of Defence (ranks, structures of Defence, etc)
* An interest in disruptive technologies and their applicability to Defence
* Proficient in use of MS Office / GSuite
* Ability to multitask, prioritising different work in order to meet deadlines
* Reliable with an eye for detail, and excellent written and spoken communication
Desirable:
* 2:1 or above degree in a relevant subject
* Prior understanding of disruptive technologies and their applicability to Defence
* Experience of CRM systems
* Experience of Sage / Xero accounting and payroll software
* Project management experience
Remuneration:
* Salary £20-35k dependent on experience. Pro-rata for reduced hours.
* 28 days paid holiday (including 8 days public holiday), increasing to 31 after successful completion of probationary period, with discretionary increases in subsequent years
* Additional paid leave available for Reserve Forces personnel
