Role Purpose Tower Hamlets is a fascinating borough, a multi-cultural community steeped in history. The contrasts and challenges in Environmental Health range from the past historical land uses to the current construction and developments being undertaken in the Borough. The team manages and delivers on award winning projects and has a robust Air Quality monitoring and management profile. The Pollution Team is based within the Highways and Transportation Service and is able to draw on resources and expertise across the Service. The post holder will assist us in dealing with a range of work streams in the Team including air quality, contaminated land and complaints. We are able to offer a 35 hour week, structured training opportunities (CPD), excellent salaries, an additional car user allowance, advisory and enforcement work and a minimum of 6 weeks paid leave a year. Requirements The successful applicant will have a background in environmental analysis and monitoring and have a good understanding of project delivery. You will have current knowledge and experience of environmental health legislations and enforcement relevant to pollution control. A degree in Environmental Health/Environmental Science is essential.
