We are the internal recruitment partner for our client, a global organisation providing fintech software solutions and cloud-hosted services to banks and financial services organisations worldwide.
We are seeking a Financial Controller to take the lead on financial accounting and management reporting across multiple business lines and entities in the UK and US on a consolidated basis.
You will be part of an independent software business, reporting to the CEO, managing the GL accountant and working alongside the business analyst. You will take the financial lead in supporting the senior executive team to meet targets and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
* Overseeing sales ledger, purchase ledger, cash/bank postings, reconciliations, general ledger and cashflows
* Document and maintain accounting processes and controls
* Ensuring all financial accounting reconciliations are accurate and maintained
* Run the year-end process including the timely and efficient close to the financial yearend and audit
* Responsible for budget preparation, reporting of monthly results and forecast updates/reporting
* Tax – deal with all HMRC and US tax returns includes Vat and Sales Tax
* Collaborate with our outsourced HR company on monthly payroll process
Requirements
* Full accounting qualification ACCA - CIMA - ACA
* Proven experience in managing an accounting/financial/administrative team
* Strong accounting system experience - strong technical abilities
* Strong familiarity with both UK and US day-to-day business/administrative/compliance matters/tasks
* Excellent Excel skills
* Excellent communication and report writing skills – ability to report financial and management information timeously and accurately
Benefits
* A basic salary of £70,000 - £80,000 per annum dependent on experience
