You should be capable of working under pressure while maintaining high standards and efficiency. What Youll Be Doing: Planned & Reactive Maintenance: Carry out scheduled maintenance and respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise downtime. Process Improvement: Lead machinery upgrades, installations, and modifications to enhance plant efficiency, productivity, and quality. Problem Solving: Identify root causes of issues and implement long-term solutions, ensuring faults dont reoccur. Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with different teams and liaise with employees at all levels to support smooth operations. Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure all work adheres to Health & Safety, Food Safety, and hygiene regulations, maintaining the highest operational standards. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and steam system faults. Conduct preventative maintenance, equipment modifications, and installations. Improve production processes, using tools such as CMMS and OEE systems. Work across multiple disciplines to ensure plant reliability. Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment. Train and mentor team members to drive a culture of engineering excellence. Skills & Qualifications: Minimum 3 years experience in fault diagnosis, repair, and preventative maintenance. Engineering City & Guilds or equivalent qualification. HNC in Engineering or NVQ Level 3 (Electrical or Mechanical). 18th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations (for electrical engineers). Strong understanding of industrial and domestic pipefitting, particularly steam systems. Excellent problem-solving skills and a logical approach to maintenance. Adaptability to work across trades and adjust to shifting priorities.
