Overview
As a Deli Associate, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our customers while preparing and serving high-quality deli products. This position requires a passion for food and an understanding of food safety practices. You will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere in the deli section, ensuring that all products are fresh, appealing, and ready for our customers.
Duties
1. Prepare and assemble a variety of deli items, including sandwiches, salads, and other meal options.
2. Maintain cleanliness and organisation in the deli area, adhering to food safety standards.
3. Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently during food preparation tasks.
4. Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure availability of fresh products.
5. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
6. Follow all health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Skills
1. Strong understanding of food safety practices is essential.
2. Previous experience in culinary or kitchen environments is advantageous.
3. Ability to prepare meals efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality.
4. A friendly and approachable demeanour.
5. Capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
6. Good communication skills to assist customers effectively.
7. A willingness to learn new skills related to food preparation and service.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £11.44-£12.50 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 40 per week
