Human Resources Manager
Location: Isle of Wight (with potential travel to Southampton)

What You’ll Be Doing
This is a broad and varied HR leadership role, covering everything from strategy to hands-on support, including:
* Shaping HR strategy – Align people initiatives with business goals and drive cultural development.
* Providing data-driven insights – Use HR metrics to inform strategic decision-making.
* Building a learning culture – Champion continuous professional development and growth.
* Ensuring legal compliance – Advise on employment law, disciplinary actions, grievances, and dismissals.
* Enhancing employee engagement – Lead initiatives to boost job satisfaction and retention.
* Supporting talent development – Drive succession planning and workforce development.
* Managing absence and return-to-work processes – Support employees’ wellbeing and productivity.
* Acting as a trusted advisor – Be the link between employees and management, addressing concerns with fairness and integrity.
* Overseeing recruitment and onboarding – Ensure the right talent joins the business and thrives from day one.
* Guiding managers through key HR processes – Support performance reviews, probation assessments, and policy adherence.
* Maintaining compliance – Keep company policies, contracts, and HR documentation up to date and aligned with legal requirements.
A Bit About You
You’re an experienced HR professional who is passionate about people, culture, and business success. You enjoy both strategic thinking and hands-on HR and are comfortable working with senior leaders while staying connected to the wider workforce.
You’ll bring:
* CIPD Level 5 or 7 qualification.
* At least 4 years’ experience in an HR Generalist, Learning & Development (L&D), or Organisational Development (OD) role.
* Strong knowledge of ACAS guidelines, disciplinary procedures, grievances, and compliance.
* Excellent organisational skills – able to juggle priorities in a fast-moving environment.
* Outstanding communication and people skills – a natural influencer and relationship-builder.
* A hands-on, site-based approach, with the flexibility to work from the Isle of Wight and/or Southampton as needed.
