Reliability Engineer Location: Fletchers Bakery, Sheffield Shift: 4 days on, 4 days off (12 hour shifts) Salary: Competitive with Opportunity for Growth We have a opportunity for an experienced Reliability Engineer within our Engineering Team who would be based at our Fletchers Bakery in Sheffield, which forms part of our Northern Cluster. Our Fletchers bakery has over 125 years of baking tradition, with our Kara bakery supplying delicious wholesale bakery products for over 35 years starting with the first floured bap. Both have been part of the Finsbury Food Group since 2014. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Reliability Engineer’s key focus will be to carry out various planned maintenance work activities and repairs to the production plant, equipment and buildings. Meanwhile, ensuring safety and reliability of the production process. The successful candidate will have worked in a similar engineering position within a fast-paced environment previously. This a role which requires the successful candidate to excellent timekeeping skills, attention to detail and flexibility. They should also have the ability to form strong working relationships across the business. This is what you’ll actually do As the Reliability Engineer you will look to be continuously developing your knowledge and familiarity with the engineering requirements of the bakery process systems and machinery. You will look to work as an active part of a skilled cross functional planned maintenance team. As well as this you would need to ensure correct Health & Safety, Food Safety and Hygiene standards are adhered to at all times. It will be your job to carry out various identified general building maintenance repairs and improvements. In addition to this you will carry out an array of identified inspection processes including but not exhaustive: composite panel inspections, emergency lighting inspections, ACM inspections, flour sifter inspections, flour line magnet inspections and auto lubricator inspections. You will also be proactively assisting in the management of baking trays & tins for the site and ensuring all doors, entrances & exits maintain a high degree of pest proofing at all times. You will be actively participating in a Continuous Improvement culture throughout the site, constantly identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies and reduce waste. As the Reliability Engineer it is your responsibility to ensure planned maintenance work is completed to strict schedules, and constantly look for improvements that will ensure reliability of equipment is improved. Adding to this you will ensure that all materials and parts used are booked out and reorder levels are fulfilled, to maintain correct stock levels. You will be required to use Mainsaver CMMS to track all work activity and asset management activities carried out. As part of your role, you will ensure good working practices are adhered to throughout. Ideally this is you · Good communication skills including familiar with use of Workplace. · A thorough and detailed approach to maintenance work. · You must be self-motivated and be able to work as part of a team. · You must be both literate and numerate. · Knowledge of plant maintenance work. · Knowledge of inspection processes including completion of accurate documentation. · Mechanical Engineering experience. · Basic welding skills. · Building maintenance. · IPAF trained. · FMCG Experience.
