What skills and experience we're looking for
You will:
• Have CACHE Level 3 in Teaching and Learning to the equivalent or relevant.
• Emotional Literacy Support Assistant Experience (desirable, but not essential)
• Experience of working with SEND/EHCP Pupils
• Be an effective practitioner with the ability and desire to improve their practice
• Have high expectations of yourself and others
• Have a proven record of working in partnership with class teachers which has resulted in good attainment and progress for children
• Have experience of working with pupils on a 1:1 basis
• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Be highly organised, motivated and flexible with the ability to inspire and challenge children
• Be able to promote the vision and values of the school, demonstrating high professional standards.

The Role - Level 3 Teaching Assistant and ELSA (Job vacancy reference HVT 0627)
We are looking for a hardworking, passionate, and creative Level 3 Teaching Assistant who is organised, self‑motivated, confident, and a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
In this role, you will deliver pre-set learning activities in the absence of a teacher, managing pupil behaviour to ensure a constructive environment. You will also support the development of pupils’ emotional literacy and social skills through specific and targeted interventions.
You will assist with supporting pupils’ academic and social communication needs (ELSA), linked to their individual diagnoses, and play a key role in promoting positive social and emotional well-being. This will enable them to engage effectively in learning both in and out of the school environment.

ELSA (Emotional Literacy Support Assistant) training will be provided as part of your professional development.
