The AIT produces accessible information in a variety of formats for Fife Council and external customers. Reporting to the AIT coordinator, you will support the other members of the team who have recognised disabilities and are employed in a supported role. You will also schedule and carry out the work of the AIT along with the AIT Coordinator. Provide direct support to AIT colleagues who are working in a supported employment role. Assist with the skills development of your supported colleagues within the AIT Plan the workloads of supported AIT colleagues and support them with this. Schedule and manage work that comes in, identifying workloads for you and supported colleagues. Liaising with customers as required Managing your own time and workload Developing and maintaining work processes along with the AIT Coordinator Creating accessible, Easy Read and audio-visual format information sources working both on your own and through supporting colleagues. Working creatively, often on your own initiative Maintaining and developing your skills and training and proactively identifying and pursuing other learning opportunities. The Person Experience of working with or supporting individuals with a learning disability Knowledge and experience of communication theory and methods and/or be passionate about developing these. Knowledge of, and skills in, using IT and basic audio-visual technology and/or be enthusiastic about developing these. Organisational skills, ability to manage and prioritise workload, experience of making effective decisions. Ability to evidence continuous professional development Ability to be innovative and be creative. Literacy skills Ability to work with minimal supervision. Team working skills (work together) Ability to travel throughout Fife. Must have, in the first period of registration, Social Services and Healthcare SCQF level 6 (equivalent to SVQ2) qualification or equivalent to meet Scottish Social Services Council registration. Ability to provide a regular and effective service.
