Your new company
You will be joining a leading civil engineering and groundworks contractor based in Derby. This multi-accredited main contractor boasts an impressive list of high-profile clientele and their portfolio of work includes commercial, industrial and power projects. They offer a strong pipeline of work, excellent opportunities for career progression and professional development (including chartership), as well as the opportunity to work on a variety of different projects. Due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Site Engineer to join their team. With sites across England, you will be based on those closest to home, although you may be expected to commute and lodge at sites further afield if need be.
Your new role
As Site Engineer, your responsibilities will include:
1. Checking plans and drawings
2. Overseeing the selection/requisition of materials
3. Interpreting design documents
4. Liaising with key project stakeholders
5. Planning works and organising plant
6. Preparing reports when required
7. Setting out, levelling and surveying sites.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you must have:
1. Experience setting out groundworks, drainage and/or RC works
2. CSCS card and be familiar with robotic total station instruments
3. Full UK driving licence and be willing to commute and lodge (when required) to sites across England (majority within the Midlands, East Anglia and South Wales areas).
