Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Class 2 Driver to join our team for ongoing Multidrop work with our client based in Biggleswade. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods, ensuring that all loads are transported in compliance with regulations and company policies. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service.
Duties
1. Operate a lorry to transport goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries.
2. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is roadworthy.
3. Load and unload cargo, securing it properly to prevent damage during transit.
4. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage.
5. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
6. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving, promoting safety at all times.
Qualifications
1. Valid commercial driving licence (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle type.
2. All endorsements CPC, Tacho card.
3. We do take new pass into consideration.
4. Opportunity to upgrade to class 1 licence in future.
5. Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
6. Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.
7. Good communication skills for interacting with customers and team members.
8. Ability to use an electric forklift to unload loads and perform physical tasks associated with loading and unloading cargo.
